Treat Your Tastebuds

A major part of Valentines’ Day is all of the sweet treats and indulgent food. If you are celebrating Valentines’ Day alone or with friends, that doesn’t mean you can’t also indulge. Again, it would be a great idea to invite over some friends to make a huge meal or even just a bunch of different treats and

taste test each one! Or for our more introverted friends, I personally love to buy chocolate boxes and try out each flavor to rank them and see which one is the worst and best.

Go Get Your Nails Done

Having cute and festive nails is a great way to make yourself feel good on any occasion. Especially for Valentines’ Day, there are so many cute options to show off your personal taste. You could also choose to get creative and do your own nails as a fun activity and save some money. Or maybe even invite over some friends and make it a fun night in!

Embrace Your Outer Beauty

A self-care classic is to do face masks and relax while watching your favorite binge-worthy Netflix show. However, to take this step to the next level we recommend you make your own face mask. It’s cost effective, fun, and better for your skin! This way you get to choose what ingredients are going on your face and research to make a mask that will perfectly fit your needs. Buy Yourself Flowers

It doesn’t necessarily have to be flowers, the point is to buy something nice for yourself. There’s no need to wait around for someone else to surprise you with presents when you can do it on your own. Since most of us are on a budget, some great ideas can include flowers from Trader Joe’s, something cute from the $5 section of Target, or a cheap bottle of wine from the grocery store. You could also turn this into a game with some friends, set a budget for yourselves and assign each other a person to shop for. Meet up after everyone is done and exchange gifts!

Have Some Fun

After a relaxing few hours spent enjoying food and relaxing, another great idea is to go out and do something fun! This will greatly depend on your preferences, but we recommend partying, ice skating, or going to see a movie. Getting out of the house, apartment, or dorm room will boost your confidence and help you to feel your very best. Sometimes something as little as going out to get some ice cream can drastically improve your day. You deserve to have fun after all!
